Magnet Bus Schedule
Buses leave daily at 2:45 pm, except every Tuesday at 1:45 pm. Check the news and announcements section of our website homepage for occasional schedule changes.

Safe Bus Riding Practice Program                                            
Watch the bus safety video with your child for school bus safety requirements. Click on the video link to the right to watch. Students are expected to adhere to all bus safety rules.

If walking, be familiar with the safest walking route to Haskell and instruct your child to follow the arrows shown on the Pedestrian Map to the school location which can be downloaded from here.

The District operates the largest alternative fuel bus fleet in California of 475 compressed natural gas, 100 ultra-low emission and 126 propane buses comprising of over 50% of the bus fleet. This reflects reduction of 2,595 metric tons of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions which is approximately a 7.5% reduction from Transportation Divisions's 2007 baseline.

Field Trip Schdule for winter & spring  2017
A schedule will be posted soon! Upcoming trips include the science center for our fourth grade classes and the discovery Cube for room 22, 23, 21, & 20!
rooms 24 and 25 will be headed to the Japanese American National Museum
At LAUSD, schools and families are working together to ensure all students are college-prepared and career-ready. Together we can equip our students with the foundation of skills needed for the 21st century.

Welcome LAUSD families! We are dedicated to keeping the families of LAUSD connected with the latest resources and information needed to support their children's education and lifelong success.


Beginning July 1, 2016, every volunteer, new or returning, must submit an application. Once approved, the processing time for a badge and a letter to be generated will be 3-4 weeks.

The YMCA at Haskell Magnet will be open for summer camp, June 12-August 11 (closed 7/4). We are located on site in rooms 30 & 31. Our hours are 6:30am-6:30pm. We offer 3 and 5 day weekly rates. In addition, we offer financial assistance to those who qualify and accept CCRC. We accept incoming TK (aged 4.9) through incoming fifth graders. Children do not need to be enrolled at Haskell Magnet to attend summer camp. Children enrolled will participate in various fun activities, be physically active, meet new friends, grow, and much more. Some of the field trips we will be attending include the Aquarium of the Pacific, Underwood Farms, Science Center, and others. Memorial day is a solemn day of remembrance for everyone who has died serving the American Armed forces, The holiday originally know as decoration day started after the civil war to honor the union and confederate dead.
